PRIVATE AND PUBLIC FOREST BATHING WALKS
Inspired by Shinrin-Yoku, the Japanese art of forest bathing, join us as we immerse ourselves in nature in a way that invites healing for the body and mind, our fraught ecosystems, and our community.
We’ll quiet our minds, awaken our senses, and restore our relationship with ourselves, each other and the earth with a slow, gentle walk (2-3 hours long) to appreciate the healing benefits of nature. The forest is the therapist. Your certified forest therapy guide opens the door. A series of thoughtfully crafted activities invite participants to experience nature in a new way. It all culminates with a tea ceremony in which your guide will serve snacks and a wildcrafted infusion of local plants. Upon departure, we’ll have an enhanced appreciation for the natural world, and a new practice that we can readily apply in our daily lives. May the forest be with you!
Public walks are group walks, open to the public, for up to 10 people. Private walks are closed to the public and available only to guests of the person booking the experience. Times and dates are flexible. Our experiences take place in various locations in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, serving Asheville, Hendersonville, Brevard and surrounding areas. Call (772) 538-3222 or email kelly@naturalwanders.us to book.
COVID-19 UPDATE
We care about your health and the wellbeing of our community, therefore, our walks are conducted in accordance with CDC guidelines. All in-person walks are limited to 10 people or less. Participants are asked to wear masks when a minimum distance of 6 feet from others cannot be maintained. If you're experiencing cold or flu symptoms, DO NOT proceed with an in-person walk. We will be happy to coordinate a virtual walk for you, reschedule, or offer a refund. For additional information, email kelly@naturalwanders.us.
